THE AIMS OF DSSIG ARE TO:

  • Provide a network function to enable staff in Day Surgery Units to share ideas and support
  • Provide an education function by providing regular seminars and education meetings that are relevant to Day Surgery
  • Provide support for professional and specialty development by offering assistance in the form of professional development allocations
  • To extend this network to provide a national focus
  • Provide the opportunity to raise awareness of Day Surgery and Day Surgery Nursing as a professional group
  • The support of members at meetings and seminars
  • Active participation in the functions of the Executive by members
  • Feedback from members
  • Articles from our state members for the National Day Surgery Journal
  • Members Meet Education sessions both mid week and Saturday mornings in both the regional and metropolitan areas
  • State conference
  • Automatic ADSNA membership (which includes 2 hard copy and 4 electronic National Day Surgery Journals)
  • ADSNA website www.adsna.info which enables members access to the latest information about research developments, seminars, conference and education seminars as well as the opportunity to look at what the other States are involved in
